ASTR 101 - Descriptive AstronomyLecture - Lab - Credit Hours: 3-0-3 IAI Code: P1 906 An introductory course in astronomy that covers the concepts, principles and methods that lead to the understanding of our present view of the solar system, stars and galaxies in the universe.Prerequisite: Placement into ENG 101 or minimum grade “C” in ENG 021 and ENG 099 , or in ENG 095 / ENG 096 ; and placement into Math 094 or higher, or minimum grade “C” in MATH 090 .
THIS COURSE EMPHASIZES A GLOBAL AND/OR INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVE AND IS APPROPRIATE FOR STUDENTS INTERESTED IN INTERNATIONAL STUDIES.
