BIO 152 - General Biology II

A continuation of BIO 151 with a survey of the plant and animal kingdoms based upon evolution. Plant and animal structure and function are presented. Population genetics, ecology and animal behavior also are presented with some field study included as part of the laboratory. Intended for students planning to take upper level biology courses. Students who are pregnant or may become pregnant during the course of the semester are strongly advised to consult their doctor before enrolling in this course.Prerequisite: Minimum grade “C” in BIO 151 ; and placement into ENG 101 or minimum grade “C” in ENG 021 and ENG 099 , or in ENG 095 / ENG 096 ; and placement into MATH 098 or higher, or minimum grade “C” in MATH 094 .
