INTD 131 - Kitchen BasicsLecture - Lab - Credit Hours: 2-2-3 Study of essential aspects of residential construction systems in relation to kitchen design. Applying technical aspects of building codes and various accessibility requirements into kitchen design. Drafting skills pertaining to kitchen floor plans, elevation drawings, cabinet sections, mechanical designs and electrical plans. Design concepts for kitchens: space planning, safety concerns, rules and guidelines. Usage of drafting symbols and dimensioningPrerequisite: minimum grade “C” in INTD 101 . Corequisite: minimum grade “C” in INTD 107 which may be taken prior to or concurrently with INTD 131.Concurrent: Taking INTD 120 concurrently is strongly recommended.
