MT 239 - Introduction to Skin Disease

This course introduces students to basic skin conditions, such as rashes, warts, moles, wheals, pustules, and plaques. Skin cancers and other conditions impacting on the integumentary system also are discussed. Students will learn to identify skin conditions they are likely to encounter in a massage practice and will learn appropriate massage adaptations as well as indications for referral.Prerequisite: MT 102 and MT 103 .
