FSCI 103 - Building Construction I

This course provides the components of building construction related to firefighter and life safety. The elements of construction and design of structures are shown to be key factors when inspecting buildings, preplanning fire operations, and operating at emergencies. Prerequisite:
  • “C” or better in FSCI 101 and FSCI 102.
  • COMPASS placement into ENG 101 or minimum grade of “C” in one of the following: ENG 021 and ENG 099 or the EAP course sequence ENG 079 and ENG 089 , or ENG 096.
  • COMPASS placement score into MATH 094 or minimum grade “C” in MATH 090 or MATH 091 or equivalent.
