Introduction to basic western floral design styles. Presents the basic principles and elements of floral design including traditional floral centerpiece construction, wiring and taping flowers for corsages and boutonnieres, and holiday or special occasion designs. All geometric design styles will be created. Course emphasizes design principles and elements. Identification and care and handling of fresh flowers and foliages will be discussed.
