VET 216 - Exotic Animal Nursing

Skill development in handling, restraint, and nursing techniques of small mammals, birds, reptiles, and fish as well as large animal immobilization. Fundamentals involve adaptation of small animal nursing techniques to exotic species husbandry. Emphasis is placed on conservation and ethics issues.   Prerequisite: Satisfactory completion of three semesters of the Veterinary Medical Technology program.
