VET 220 - Clinic Care II Rotations, Supervised Occupational ExperienceCredit Hours 4 Lecture: 0 Lab: 20 This course will place a student in a veterinary medical site for supervised on-the-job training experiences. The site of this 10-week externship will be based on the student’s identified learning needs and interests in conjunction with faculty recommendations. Potential sites may include veterinary practices, emergency veterinary clinics, research institutions, zoos, animal rehabilitation centers, and pharmaceutical companies. Students will develop their individualized learning objectives for the externship. Students will develop skill proficiency and be able to apply theoretical knowledge to the practice setting with a variety of veterinary patients. Prerequisite: Satisfactory completion of the first 1.75 years in the Vet program, and received a “C” or better in all required curriculum courses. Is course repeatable for credit?
