HUS 104 - Case Management

This course is to expand on the role and responsibilities of an advocate in Human Services. Students will learn appropriate integration and use of information collected from interviews, active listening, consultations or research. Information management skills will also be developed, such as taking notes, organizing, assessing the relevance, and categorizing information. Political and public advocacy issues are discussed. Essential skills and knowledge of legal processes for effective solutions are also introduced. Prerequisite: Prerequisite: HUS 103 with a minimum grade of C
