HUS 201 - Domestic ViolenceCredit Hours 3 Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 This course provides a comprehensive exploration of domestic violence. It combines theory with applied responses to victimization and will focus on the experience of victims and how the occurrence of violence, whether at home, in the community, or as the result of personal assault or abuse, can have a devastating effect. It will explore numerous types of violence and examine the offender—victim relationships, relevant data, and situational factors that influence violent incidents. Skill building in direct service is also stressed. Prerequisite: HUS 101 with a minimum grade of C
