ECON 230 - Public FinanceCredit Hours 3 Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 The study of the economic functions of government in a capitalist economic system, the public goods, distribution, structure and stabilization functions, with special emphasis on the changing role and capacity of public finance. Students will explore principles of taxation, relationships between monetary policy and debt management, and topics that focus on the growing role of public finance in an international framework.
