PHIL 101 - Introduction to Philosophy

An introductory course in philosophy, which analyzes its essential elements and problems, namely epistemology, the nature of the mind, the mind-body problem, philosophy of religion, freedom vs. determinism, and moral philosophy. Prerequisite: Placement into ENG 101  or minimum grade of “C” in ENG 021  and ENG 099 ; or ENG 022  and ENG 099 ; or the EAP course sequence ENG 079  and ENG 089 ; or ENG 096 .
