GIS 291 - GIS Career Development

This course is designed to help the GIS graduating student in preparing for and acquiring employment in an industry that utilizes GIS technology. The course focuses on the skills necessary to conduct a job search, professional networking, develop a resume and write a cover letter as well as interview skills with professional industry. It also serves to explore various career options and opportunities, both public and private, which incorporate and utilize GIS skills and technology. Prerequisite: 12 hours of GIS coursework or consent of department
