GIS 260 - GIS Capstone

The capstone is a final learning experience resulting in a consolidation of the student’s educational experience and certifies mastery of entry level workplace geospatial competencies. The course will be project based learning involving simulation of the workplace through case studies, portfolios, and employment scenarios that allows the student to apply broad knowledge of the GIS discipline. Project execution will involve job shadowing, industry projects and mentoring. The capstone experience should occur during the last semester of the student’s educational program. Prerequisite(s): GIS 210   or consent of the department Corequisite(s): GIS 220
