AEC 150 - Construction Surveying and Layout

Lecture - Lab - Credit Hours: 2-4-4
Fundamental principles of surveying, use and care of equipment, concepts of horizontal, vertical and angular measurements, using the engineer’s transit level, and tape and basic surveying computations. Examination of the methods and procedures for accurate measuring and layout of construction projects such as sewer lines, building layout, grade stakes, slope stakes, and construction grid systems. Prerequisite: MATH 119 or MATH 139 or consent of department.
