AB 120 - Automotive Welding

Lecture - Lab - Credit Hours: 2-4-4
This course will focus on welding processes as they relate to the automobile. Steel and aluminum welding and cutting will be instructed. Performance of continuous, stick tack, plug, butt with and without backing and lap joint welding along with visual and destructive testing will be components of the course. The course will be based on the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation’s recommended tasks/curriculum in preparation for the ASE test. The course is a mixture of classroom and lab work.Prerequisite: AB 110
