PHIL 102 - History of Philosophy

This course is an introduction to the history of philosophy, beginning with the pre-Socratics and concluding with 20th century philosophers. Special emphasis is given to the causal relationships among major philosophers and their systematic philosophies.Prerequisite: COMPASS placement into ENG 101 ; or minimum grade “C” in one of the following:  ENG 021  and ENG 099 ; or the EAP course sequence ENG 078  and ENG 089 , or ENG 096 .
