Computer engineering technology professionals are employed in variety of electronic occupations such as telecommunications, computer system design and consulting services, microprocessor-based system diagnostics and repair, digital system prototyping, and various roles in the manufacturing industry. The Computer Engineering Technology (CET) program provides a unique blend of engineering technology theory and hands-on experience. The successful student will learn how to incorporate both hardware and software into microcomputer applications. Students may specialize in one of three areas: software development, systems or Cisco networking. Graduates may continue their education at many colleges and universities to earn advanced degrees.
Students should check transfer requirements with the college or university to which they wish to transfer prior to establishing a course of study at Joliet Junior College.
