CNT 101 - Network FundamentalsCredit Hours 4 Lecture: 4 Lab: 0 Study of the devices and protocols used to connect computers and support devices into a network. Topics include: OSI model (layers 1 & 2), IP and MAC addresses, TCP, ARP and RARP. The function of hubs, switches and routers are compared and contrasted. Also covered is media design, structured cabling, and network management. This course is the first of four that prepares students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate.
