PHIL 101 - Introduction to Philosophy

An introductory course in philosophy, which analyzes its essential elements and problems, namely epistemology, the nature of the mind, the mind-body problem, philosophy of religion, freedom vs. determinism, and moral philosophy. Prerequisite: Placement into English 101 or minimum grade of “C” in Eng. 021 and Eng. 099 or Eng. 022 and Eng. 099 or the EAP course sequence Eng. 079 and Eng. 089 or Eng. 096.
