PHYS 103 - Technical PhysicsCredit Hours 4 Lecture: 3 Lab: 2 An introduction to the basic concepts of physics with an emphasis on applications to modern technology. The major topics are mechanics, heat and sound. Designed for students in career education, particularly the technical programs. Prerequisite: Placement into ENG 101 or minimum grade of “C” in one of the following: ENG 021 and ENG 099; or ENG 022 and ENG 099; or the EAP course sequence ENG 079 and ENG 089, or ENG 096; and placement into MATH 094or minimum grade “C” in MATH 090 or equivalent.
