SOC 101 - Introduction to SociologyLecture - Lab - Credit Hours: 3-0-3 IAI Code: S7 900 Introduction to the basic principles, concepts and methods fundamental to the discipline of sociology. Emphasis on the structure and dynamics of human society with special attention to group behavior, socialization, social institutions, social problems, stratification, family, population, and crime.Prerequisite: Placement into ENG 101 , or minimum grade “C” in ENG 021 and ENG 099 , or in ENG 096 .
THIS COURSE EMPHASIZES A GLOBAL AND/OR INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVE AND IS APPROPRIATE FOR STUDENTS INTERESTED IN INTERNATIONAL STUDIES.
