PLS 225 - Labor and Employment LawCredit Hours: 3 Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 Homework: Written Assignments Case Studies Exam(s) Quizz(es) Introduction to legal issues that may arise as a result of the employer-employee relationship. Topics covered include history of employment law, federal and state laws regarding wage and hour issues, collective bargaining agreements, tort and contract law, discrimination in employment, and workers’ compensation, ADA; and the various statutory and common-law basis for alleging, and proving, an employment law claim.
