EGR 160 - Applied Thermodynamics

This course provides an introduction to thermodynamics and its practical application in industry. Topics will include a review of terminology, the first law of thermodynamics, work, heat, properties of substances and the second law of thermodynamics. Problem solving and industry applications will be emphasized including problem formulation, analytical and computational solutions. Prerequisite(s): MATH 139   or MATH 142  , and PHYS 101
