EGR 203 - Mechanics: Strength of Materials

Based on the mechanics of solids, the course covers the analysis and principles of stress, strain and deformation produced by external forces and loads on structural members. Includes the methods of analysis and design for both axial and bending members for strength and deflection, the evaluation of material mechanical properties, and energy methods.
