CIS 124 - Computer Concepts and ApplicationsCredit Hours 3 Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 IAI Major Number BUS 902 A complete introductory study of information systems, computer programming and application software is presented. Course topics include the elements of a business computer system, system analysis and design, Operating systems, program design and implementations along with various Web design techniques, Cloud Computing, Security, and privacy issues. This course also introduces the concepts, principles, and applications of computers as they apply to business. Students learn about several common software packages available for business applications. A thorough coverage of word processing, database management, spreadsheets and presentation software included. Internet based exercises are integrated throughout the course.
