This course is an introduction to the history of philosophy, beginning with the pre-Socratics and concluding with 20th century philosophers. Special emphasis is given to the causal relationships among major philosophers and their systematic philosophies. Prerequisites Placement into ENG 101 or minimum grade of “C” in ENG 021 and ENG 099; or the EAP course sequence ENG 079 and ENG 089; or ENG 096.
