This class introduces students to close reading of poetry, focusing on reading, discussing, and writing effectively about a range of poems. Students will learn to use relevant critical terms in their analyses of poems, to discuss poetic forms, genres, and techniques in an informed way, and to deal effectively with questions of interpretation. Prerequisites Minimum grade “C” in ENG 101
