An introductory course in astronomy that covers the concepts, principles and methods that lead to the understanding of our present view of the solar system, stars and galaxies in the universe. Prerequisites Placement testing into ENG 101 or minimum grade “C” in one of the following: ENG 021 and ENG 099; or the EAP course sequence ENG 079 and ENG 089 ; or ENG 096 and Qualifying placement into MATH 094 or a minimum grade of “C” in MATH 075 (may substitute MATH 090 if successfully completed).
