FSCI 103 - Building Construction for the Fire ServiceCredit Hours 3 Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 This course provides the components of building construction related to firefighter and life safety. The elements of construction and design of structures are shown to be key factors when inspecting buildings, preplanning fire operations, and operating at emergencies. Prerequisites Minimum grade “C” in FSCI 101; and Placement into ENG 101 or minimum grade “C” in one of the following: ENG 021 and ENG 099; or the EAP course sequence ENG 079 and ENG 089; or ENG 096 and Qualifying placement into MATH 094 or a minimum grade of “C” in MATH 075 (may substitute MATH 090 if successfully completed).
