RESP 110 - Principles of Mechanical Ventilation II

Continuing to develop concepts in the theory of mechanical ventilation in the adult critical care patient.  Selection of ventilator parameters, commitment, maintenance, weaning.  In-depth presentation, discussion, demonstration of specific adult ventilator systems, CPAP, BiPAP circuits, practice and testing, simulation laboratory, and student presentation of case studies from clinical areas.  Prerequisites RESP 106, RESP 107, RESP 108, and RESP 109.
