EDUC 251 - Clinical Experience and SeminarLecture - Lab - Credit Hours: 1-4-3* This course is designed to give the future teacher a theoretical and practical basis in dealing with children at various levels. Emphasis is placed on the capacity of the student to benefit from the experience provided by local preschools, elementary schools, high schools, and special-education programs. This weekly four-hour lab experience and seminar involves the application of the principles of child and adolescent development and educational psychology. Sixty-four clinical hours of experience are required. Prerequisite: Minimum 2.5 GPA in EDUC 240 and PSYC 101 . A criminal fingerprint background check is required prior to the beginning of the course.
