FSCI 106 - Fire Apparatus and EquipmentLecture - Lab - Credit Hours: 3-0-3 A study of the design and operating characteristics of various motorized fire apparatuses, custom and commercial. This will include engines, pumps, aerial ladders, elevating platforms, rescue and squad trucks, water tankers, and maintenance of fire apparatuses and equipment. Prerequisite: “C” or better in FSCI 101 and FSCI 102 . Placement into ENG 101 or minimum grade of “C” in one of the following: ENG 021 and ENG 099 ; or ENG 022 and ENG 099 ; or the EAP course sequence ENG 079 and ENG 089 , or ENG 096 ; and placement into MATH 094 or minimum grade “C” in MATH 090 .
