Infant Toddler and Two’s Educator, Certificate of Achievement

Program Code: SS053
This certificate will prepare students for a career as a caregiver and educator within infant, toddler and two year old settings. Through a combination of coursework and practical experiences, the child care professional receiving this certificate will be eligible for the Illinois Gateways Early Childhood Education and Infant Toddler Credentials at a minimum of a Level 2. This 30 hour certificate can be also be awarded to students as a precursor or in addition to the AAS in CDEV degree. Please be advised that the State of Illinois requires a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, and a medical clearance with TB test to work in a child care setting.
Health Physical: Students should be advised that the State of Illinois requires a physical including TB test before an individual can work or volunteer in a licensed child care program. Working with infants, toddlers and two year old children will require frequent lifting and bending.
