Degree Requirements
An education from JJC’s Networking program will prepare students for a variety of career options such as network administrator, networking support, help desk, networking engineer, systems support, networking technician, and networking security, to name a few. The program focuses on applied education for real world occupations; for example, the JJC Computer Network Technologist AAS degree provides training certified by the Cisco Networking Academy, a division of Cisco Corporation.
JJC Networking students are trained to work with Cisco products, which are used around the world and are designed to transform how people connect, communicate, and collaborate. Cisco is the largest vendor of networking equipment in the world with more than five billion dollars invested in research and development alone. Graduates of the program have the opportunity to take certification exams and advance their careers. They will be a part of a growing field involved with transporting data, voice, and video within buildings, across campuses, and around the world.
