The JJC Web Design, Development, and Social Media program teaches students the technical aspects of website creation, programming, aesthetic appeal, and the current requirements based on W3C and WCAG accessibility standards. Students will learn the cutting-edge coding techniques for HTML, CSS, front- and back-end scripting/programming languages, user experience (UX) analysis, and so much more! With two different concentrations, students can customize their educational pathway to focus on either Social Media or Web Development, all they while obtaining a solid Web Design foundation to appeal to many different career opportunities.

General Education Requirements: 16 Semester Hours
Select courses from the following groups:
Group I: Communications - Must take either ENG 101 or ENG 130. (3 credit hours)
Students may substitute ENG 102 or ENG 230 for either of the above courses.
Group II: Social and Behavioral Sciences - 3 credit hours required in this category
Group III: Humanities and Fine Arts - No specific minimum credit hours required. This category is optional for AAS degrees. Students are encouraged to select a Humanities or Fine Arts course as part of their General Education coursework.
Group IV: Math/Sciences - 3 credit hours required in this category
Group V: Career Enhancement - No specific minimum credit hours required.
