*Program has reduced credit hours required for completion from previous 16 hours to 12 hours effective 2021FL. This proposal has been approved by the Illinois Community College Board and is awaiting Higher Learnning Commision approval.  With the reduction of hours, this program will no longer be financial aid eligible.

The Cookies/Pies/Petit Fours/Showpieces Certificate of Completion offers students a wide variety of technical and practical techniques related to a preparing cookies, pies, petit fours, and competition worthy showpieces. Students interested in pursuing a career as a pastry chef or baker and those interesting in competing are ideal candidates for this certificate of completion. In these course students will learn a variety of mixing skills, mousses and creams, tempering chocolate, sugar and pastillage work, and decorating techniques.
