- Prepare for employment in the following roles:
- general managers
- herdsmen
- managers of breeding
- farrowing, nursery or finishing units
- other specialized careers involving the management, production and marketing of swine
- In addition to technical agriculture subjects in both crop and livestock production, you’ll learn mechanical skills and farm business management.
- Supervised occupational experience in swine management for college credit is an integral part of this program.
- Includes 19 weeks of a paid internship work experience at a related agricultural production swine confinement facility.*
*Students are placed in these work experience programs.
