The CDEV Certificate of Achievement prepares individuals for entry-level positions in early childhood settings and aligns with the IL Gateways Early Childhood Credential Level 3. This certificate can be earned as student’s progress towards the CDEV AAS. The student should be aware that the Illinois DCFS requires a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, and a medical clearance including a TB test and proof of immunizations to work in a licensed childcare setting.
