The Associate of Applied Science in Marketing is designed and continually updated to reflect the constant changes in the business world. This program provides the individual with the education and training necessary for employment in the field of marketing or as a foundation to pursue additional study in the marketing field. The marketing student will learn a variety of marketing-related disciplines, including e-commerce, retailing, professional sales and advertising. The marketing coursework prepares students for initial positions and opportunities such as retail sales, business-to-business sales, or various entry-level marketing and public relations positions within small to large-sized companies, government agencies, or non-profit organizations. *This degree is not intended for students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university to pursue a bachelor’s degree. Students enrolled in this degree who are considering such transfer should consult a Business Department Advisor.
