The Network, Cyber Security, and Development Advanced Level, Certificate of Completion helps prepare students for the vital needs of the Network Security. This certificate allows students the opportunity to complete coursework recognized by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) and the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS). The United States Department of Defense has certified the Cisco CCNA Security, Cisco CCNP Security, and Cisco Cybersecurity Specialist (SCYBER) Certifications as DoD 8570.01-M compliant.
The program validates the day-today, tactical knowledge, and skills that Security Operations Center (SOC) teams need to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats. The certificate aligns with the fundamentals needed for associate-level job roles. The training covers knowledge and skills related to security concepts, security monitoring, host-based analysis, network intrusion analysis, and security policies and procedures and open-source programming. Students learn to develop a security infrastructure, recognize threats and vulnerabilities to networks, and mitigate security threats.
