LTA 103 - Library MaterialsCredit Hours 3 Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 Examines the role of the library technical assistant in the practice of acquiring print and non-print materials from the selection decision through technical processing. Budgeting, binding, processing, and weeding also will be covered. Both manual and automated systems are incorporated into course materials. Keyboarding skills are highly recommended. Prerequisite: Placement testing into ENG 101 or minimum grade “C” in one of the following: ENG 021 and ENG 099 ; ENG 022 and ENG 099 ; or the EAP course sequence ENG 079 and ENG 089 ; or ENG 096 .
