NA 101 - Certified Nurse Assistant TrainingCredit Hours 6 Lecture: 3 Lab: 7 This course is designed to train and prepare students to take the Illinois Nurse Aide State Competency Exam. After passing the state exam, students are eligible to work as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in hospitals, long-term care, home health and other healthcare settings. There are 3 components to the NA 101 course: lecture, lab and clinical. The course includes 96 hours in the lecture/lab setting (theory portion of the course) and 52 hours in the clinical setting. To be eligible for this class, students must be at least 16 years of age, completed at least 8 grade levels of schooling, speak and understand the English language and be in good physical, mental and emotional health.
