ART 152 - Typography

Introduction to typographic history, study of letterforms, terms, classifications, and typeface selection. Exploration of type mechanics and aesthetics, using type in a variety of design applications. Examines structure, layout, and information hierarchy, as well as the relationship of type to image and cultural context. Prerequisite: Minimum grade “C” in ART 107 .
