FSCI 103 - Building Construction for Fire ProtectionCredit Hours 3 Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 This course provides the components of building construction related to firefighter and life safety. The elements of construction and design of structures are shown to be key factors when inspecting buildings, preplanning fire operations, and operating at emergencies. Prerequisite(s): Minimum grade “C” in FSCI 101 and FSCI 102 . Placement into ENG 101 or minimum grade “C” in one of the following: ENG 021 and ENG 099 ; ENG 022 and ENG 099 ; or the EAP course sequence ENG 079 and ENG 089 ; or ENG 096 and placement into MATH 094 or minimum grade “C” in MATH 090 .
