A course in Shielded Metal Arc Welding in the flat and horizontal positions which emphasizes safety, fundamentals of the processes, equipment, and techniques involved with welding mild steel. AWS welder qualification is offered in the 2G position on mild steel with backing strip. Prerequisite(s): WLDG 101 with minimum grade of “C”.
