CDEV 251 - Infant/Toddler Methods and Seminar

This course provides a study of appropriate methods of assessment and teaching both typically and atypically developing children from birth to age three. The student will be expected to synthesize child development theory and concepts through direct observation, evaluation and practice. The student will complete a minimum of 20 hours of observation and 60 hours of internship with infants, toddlers and two year olds. Students must meet the requirements of the practicum site as stipulated by Illinois DCFS licensing standards. Students cannot be reimbursed for internship hours. Prerequisite(s): Take CDEV 210 , CDEV 215 , CDEV 230 , and CDEV 250 . Also take one course from: PSYC 210 CDEV 208 , or PSYC 209 . All must have a minimum grade of “C.”
