FSCI 203 - Fire HydraulicsCredit Hours 3 Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 This course provides a foundation of theoretical knowledge in order to understand the principles of the use of water in fire protection and to apply hydraulic principles to analyze and to solve water supply problems. The student, having the understanding of the appropriate laws of physics and chemistry as they apply to the fire service, will also be able to apply the correct formula to find the answer to the problem, regardless of what variables are given. This course will also provide the information to meet the requirements of NFPA 1001, Firefighter Professional Qualifications, and NFPA 1002, Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications.
