HIST 205 - French RevolutionCredit Hours 3 Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 This course will provide the student with an analysis of the major events of the French Revolution from 1789 to 1799. Topics covered will include: the origins of the Revolution in the society and government of Old Regime France and the major ideas of the Enlightenment; the major political, cultural and societal changes; and the impact that the French Revolution had upon the whole of Europe through war and the spread of liberal ideas. Prerequisite(s): Placement into ENG 101 or minimum grade of “C” in one of the following: ENG 021 and ENG 099; or the EAP course sequence ENG 079 and ENG 089; or ENG 096.
