HIST 205 - French RevolutionLecture - Lab - Credit Hours: 3-0-3 This course will provide the student with an analysis of the major events of the French Revolution from 1789 to 1799. Topics covered will include: the origins of the Revolution in the society and government of Old Regime France and the major ideas of the Enlightenment; the major political, cultural and societal changes; and the impact that the French Revolution had upon the whole of Europe through war and the spread of liberal ideas.Prerequisite: COMPASS placement into ENG 101 or minimum grade of “C” in one of the following: ENG 021 and ENG 099 or the EAP course sequence ENG 079 and ENG 089 , or ENG 096 ; or consent of instructor.
